Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year because Alek understood a little more about what was going on and was really excited about his presents. Every Christmas Eve we get together with my family and the adults play a movie trivia game where we win money and then do a white elephant exchange. We always have so much fun trying to come up with the craziest and funniest presents each year. The grand kids get to open their pajamas and presents from grandma and grandpa. This year Alek got a cabbage patch doll and a wagon/bike. He absolutely loved both. His aunt Nanny gave him a drill and thank goodness he opened that first, otherwise he would not have been able to open anything else. He used that drill to open every present on Christmas Eve and Christmas. I didn't think he was ever going to get his presents opened Christmas morning. He also had to sleep with his drill. He got a little tired after opening a few presents, but he finally made it through them all. He got a desk, markers, crayons, books, shopping cart, microwave, and a car. After he opened each present, he had to play with it for a few minutes before moving onto the next. He was so excited with each present and would stick it in his shopping cart until later. Rafal and I had so much fun watching his face light up with a smile when he opened his presents. We definitely had a very Merry Christmas!
